The room was lovely and the sun terrace added even more value for money. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, though a little variation would be nice. Clean and an excellent location. I would definitely stay again and recommend this hostel

This was the best place we stayed in our whole trip to Morocco. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and you can have it on their lovely roof terrace. The riad is really beautiful and the location is excellent and great value for money. It is just off the main square in an interesting street. The riad is very peaceful and a lovely place to relax with friendly and welcoming staff.

Peaceful and welcoming riad
This Riad is an oasis of calm within in the busy Marrakesh. It is so peaceful so you will definitely have a good nights rest. The host while we were there was Abdul who was so helpful and so kind. He brought us the most delicious breakfast every morning and was very helpful with information. The room was nice and it is such good value for the location. A great stay!

“Warm and cosy”
Very welcoming staff. Very reasonably priced with a nice breakfast. A lovely balcony upstairs to enjoy a calm moment away from the madness but still only a 5 minute walk from the Djemaa el Fna square.

“Very Good People working here”
When we first got to the area, this local "showed" us the way for money and took us to the wrong place and left us. We were able to call Riad Dar Tamlil and they sent somebody to walk us to the hotel. Then, we were warmly greeted with amazing mint tea and cookies. The next day they arranged a tour for us in the mountains/river and camel rides for a very good price. The hotel was clean and authentic. The bed was comfortable and the staff even shared their personal food with us. We came during Ramadan time...the time where everybody was fasting all day. We felt bad that they were not eating and we were, but they are such good people that they told us it is their practice and that we should not feel bad. It was just perfect and very close to the "center" or market. I cant say enough good things about this place. Definitely recommend this place if you are staying in Marrakech. The only thing is that all the Riads and hotels in this area are in scary looking allies but its a very old town that was made before cars existed. It is very safe, even though there is a lot of pushy vendors and people that ask for money but that is all of Marrakech except for the Dar Tamlil staff. They are very good people.

"Bonne adresse" Ce riad est idéalement situé, au calme et à deux pas de la place djema efna. Les chambres sont très propres et confortables. Juste a noter que la chambre en rdc n'a pas de clim juste un ventilateur, ca peut être un peu juste pour certains. Les hôtes sont charmants. Petit déjeuner dans le patio tres agréable.

We had an amazing stay in this riad, our only wish is that it could have been for longer! The location was superb, only a stones throw from the main square. Breakfast was fantastic and pretty much fed us for the day there was so much of it! What made the stay better than anywhere else we stayed was the homely welcome we were given by the man... He was keen to learn about our culture and lang and to teach us about his... Including a hands on experience of making/serving mint tea correctly!!! Fab!

Good small riad very easy to find which is a plus for Marrakech. Staff was friendly. They suggested excursions but were not pushy. Only problem: we asked where the grand taxi station was and she wrote the address on a piece of paper (in arabic) and told us to give it to a cab driver. The station was easily on walking distance and this led to a complicated departure from Marrakech.

Maravilloso

We really enjoyed our stay at Dar Tamlil. While its location is perfect in terms of distance to the main square, the surrounding streets are not as pleasant as the charming Riad itself. The room was clean and the facilities were okay as well (with your usual 'southern countries shower', which is not the cascade you're used to back home), breakfast was very nice. And, most important: The staff was extremely helpful in terms of taxis, directions, wishes, etc. We'd definitely stay there again!

This hostel was really nice! good points were: 1. The location is very central, 2 minutes walk to the square 2. The riad is very personal with only 4 rooms. 3. it is very nice to just relax with a nice court yard and roof terrasse. 4. there is always somone at the riad which makes it very secure. 5. it is very clean6. The decoration is nice, true morrocon style. 7. Nice breakfast. The only downfall for this riad was that there was only a curtain which seperated the bathroom/toilet from the room

This year was the 2nd time i have stayed at the Riad and i will stay there again when i visit Marrakech, the staff are great, it feels very peaceful even though it is only 2 mins from the main square, a little hard to find if you arrive for your first visit after dark but well worth it.

Nice authentic Riad very well located at only 1 minute from Djemaa el Fna square. It is a basic but very nice location and very good value for the money.

Grazie Abdul!

Nice and calm place in a big city
I had a great Stay in Riad Tamlil, the best thing about this Place is Abdul Latif, one of the staff members, he was very helpful and friendly, he helped me a lot because my plan for Marrakech was a bit messed up, he helped me stay several extra nights, and he was actually trying to help me save money and plan my time there quiet nicely, he was really very helpful and he knows a lot about the city.
The place is Great, near Jamee el Fna, the rooms are Clean, and the place looks good and well restored, i also changed rooms with help from Abdel Latif to be able to stay longer, and all the rooms i stayed in were Great, the only problem i had was with the hot water, and it was quickly solved whenever it happened.
I think the prices are very reasonable also if you are traveling alone, and they work with an agency that plans great Excursions, i went to a private "4 persons" day hike to the Atlas mountains, bit costy, but really worth the money.
You can find somewhere more Fancy in Marrakech i know, but i really recommend this Riad
